Awesome petes03! That kind of interaction right there is what makes this habit great. Openness, brotherhood (& sisterhood!), and a willingness to pass on the knowledge!

Congrats! It's fun! I've sort of become a part of the furniture on weekends at my favorite B&M. I love it when I get the opportunity to talk about blends to newbies. I try not to say anything contrary to what the owners has said before, so I tend not to play up certain blends that I would otherwise suggest to folks on here that are looking for a non-aro. I'd hate to run a brother off because he got home and scalded himself on Escudo or Haddos.

But, if they say that they are ex cig smokers, the owner will sometimes ask me to tell my story about starting off smoking RYO in a cob. It gets chuckles from the pipe guys who've never smoked cigs, and I think suggesting the Vas and VaPers to a cigarette smoker isn't out of the question. Or, suggesting a Turkish to a Camel man. These things I can speak from the heart about.
...of course now-a-days, I'd only walk a mile for Escudo.
