Help With Pouch Code For Mac Baren HH ODF RR From SmokingPipes

I can't decipher the numbers on the bulk pouch of Mac Baren HH Old Dark Fired Ready Rubbed that I received from SmokingPipes. The numbers don't correspond to the explanations of tin codes I've seen online.

The specific package says:

Pipe Tobacco 1232883

Then a disclaimer, and what I believe to be a product or tax code: TP-SC-20001

Does the upper number mean anything to you? Can I determine when the blend was made?

That's weird, there should be 8 digits in total, ending with either 1 or 2 (day shift and night shift). Maybe they have a different dating system for the bulk.

Seems to be an SKU for the inventory management, TP probably stands for tobacco pipe, I might be wrong. Did you try contacting them?

The TP-SC-20001 is the Cornell & Diehl factory for the stuff. It was blended here in the US.

And I was under the impression they'd be simply rubbing ' em flakes in big stakes apart and selling it eventually as in RR form
