I would appreciate any help in identifying an older pipe that I have inherited. It is a carved blonde wood pipe probably from the 1950s or 1960s and has a a small imprint of what appears to be a 5 leaves (maple?) with stem etched on the bottom front of the bowl. It also has a very nice leather case with plush lining that has a small metal fastener. I don't see any other markings.

It's meerschaum from what I can tell. Not wood. Most carvers will add a carving like that I there is a small flaw or to add character.
