I assume there is no import or tax sticker that would help. The only other thing would be a range for the type of labels you have but I don’t have that info. Pipestud probably knows more.
Well, one way to look at it is that, if they don't have date code stickers, they're probably ready to smoke.
Samuel Gawith, and Gawith-Hoggarth tins have a numeric date code on a transparent sticker, usually on the side of the tin:
06 254 = 06 January 2017
The terminal 3 digits represent the number of months since the index date of December 1995 (as per the table below; add leading zeros for month 1-99).
The initial 2 digits are the day of the month.

Only recent production tins have those. Nearly everything produced before, I believe, 2014 don't have them.
The top Grousemoor tin looks like it may be from the '90's. The Skiff Mixture may be from late '90's or early 2000's. The other 3 look to be from the mid to late 2000's.
However, with all of that rust, the seals may be (probably are) compromised. I would open them all and jar the tobacco ASAP.

Thanks for the input folks. The seals appear intact; the lids are all still bowed in from the vacuum and are tight. I opened a Commonwealth from the same batch and it was in good shape inside. I'm going to put most of them into mylar bags and was hoping to get a better idea of their age before I do so!
There is a problem with the above chart. Look at Nov 2019 (288) and Dec 2019 (279). Everything after Nov 2019 will be incorrect. It's great for dating older tins. I printed it out for future reference.
I have tins of FVF and BBF purchased in 2012 that have no labels of any kind.
Do you mean tin labels or date labels?
That's what I said in my previous post, stuff made before 2014 have no date labels. I also think some stuff made between 2014-2016 don't have them either.

Those are probably Chinese counterfeit tins. They could contain untold of noxious chemicals... I would be willing to dispose of those in my own personal HAZMAT site free of charge... ?
