It's ok, too much maple syrup upon initial bowls, it calms down some but even after a couple years, the maple is overwhelming and to me makes it a no go. I try it every fall a few bowls here and there, but nope..
Don't ever smoke Wilke Maple Plum Spice. Autumn Evening is mild by comparison.

I think it’s important to keep trying loads of blend when new, then settle on the one you most enjoyed, then return to the others again. Your pallet will change as will your technique with different types of blend.

I recommend tossing Autumn Evening into an outside trash bin because it will ghost your whole house if you toss it into an interior trash bin.
I prefer taller, wider trash bins to hold this vile weed over shorter narrower bins. I find both molded plastic and aluminum bins work well for Autumn Evening.

Lots of solid advice on this thread. I would only add that if you're set on finding a maple flavored aro, that you give Wilke's Vermont maple Cavendish a try.

I also don't care for AA due to its burning characteristics and the repulsive artificial maple syrup flavoring. Wilke's uses all natural flavorings, and its a generally forgiving blend. Its one of the few aros that I keep in my rotation along with Trout Stream - although I think TS is now a casualty of the deeming regs...
