A while back someone sat on my Mastro De Paja straight apple, snapping the tennon off in the mortise of the pipe. It was one of my best English smokers and I would love to get a new stem. I notice Mastro De Pajas web site is all in Italian so I am worried about the language barrier there. Does anyone know of a way to communicate with the for a new stem or does anyone know of a repair service who could do this work?

You'll more then likely have to send in the pipe to Mastro if you want them to fix it. You could work through your retailer where you purchased it. Or, find a retailer that carries Mastro and maybe could help you with address etc. Or...find a reliable repair person in the states..in any event, I don't you will be able to purchase just a mouthpiece and have it fit. About the only pipe that works like that is a cob.

Yep, MOST briar pipes need to have their stems fitted to the particular pipe due to the differences in the shaping of the briar. I'm sure MdP can help you if you email them. Or, any competent American carver can make you one if you send the pipe and broken stem to them.
You can translate their page.
