Can anyone tell me if they have seen this before? I have only found one listing on the internet but it doesn't tell me much about it. I would like to know if it's worth anything.

I have seen these before they sell for around $25-30. That is a nice one. Some have lids over the square compartmwnt.

@ shaintiqes could I get a lid for the compartment? If so, where? What is the rectangle compartment with the small rectangle peg in the middle for?

Just throw a deck of cards in there, no lid required.

I have one that is identical to the photo you posted, tkdan. I know it is made of a pressed wood composite. I've had mine for about 10 years and it sits at my computer desk. Love it. I don't remember the price I paid (got it off eBay), but it was very inexpensive.
