Like you, I really don't smoke Aros. I am mostly 90% into Burleys, VaPers and non-topped mixtures.

One delightful smoke I recently fell in love with is Hearth & Home's Louisiana Red, by Russ Ouellette. This is a blend of Red Virginias and Perique. I find this one excellent and gives me a great break from pounding on the Burley day-in, day-out.

Perhaps you might like to have a go with that one. - Sherm Natman
Thank you, sir, I very much respect your opinions and recommendations. I have added that to my list. All the best...

+1 on Louisiana Red. Another very good blend from Russ is Hearth & Home's Virginia Spice.

You're welcome. Black Irish X is very interesting if you like smokey blends. It taste exactly like grill charred beef. Someone here recommended it to me, and glad I listened. Comes in bulk and a twist. What ever you choose happy smoking friend!
I’ve got to try it after reading this in a review at SP.com:
“I'm not sure I'll ever think Black Irish X is delicious, but I can say I find myself craving its peculiar, deliberate foulness from time to time”

I’m still working on the tin of WarHorse Green I picked up, so I know that feeling!

I debated War Green and someone said it was a liquorish like blend. Which I used to hate but now I like. But I already have some of those blends and don't want more. Is that true?

It’s definitely flavored with anise, I was looking for licorice flavoring then came across the thread with the story of the blending of WarHorse and had to try it.
Some seriously like it, I myself fall in the “craving its peculiar, deliberate foulness from time to time” camp😆

I can't name individual blends you'd like without knowing more about your likes beyond your liking non-aromatics, but I can suggest places to look.

Sutliff and Cornell & Diehl have really expansive bulk menus, and C&D especially has a good array of condimental bulk leaf to make your own mixes, like unflavored black Cavendish, cigar leaf, Turkish, Perique, Latakia, and various single leaf Virginias and burleys. These give you control to tweak blends to your exact taste.
