I found this pipe in my late father's stuff. It has Ural in the case. I have no idea if it has any value, if I should save it or sell it. Dad died in 1995 so it was purchased between 1987 and 1995. Any thoughts?
No its not the same, it is a regular tobacco pipe.is it the same? the bowl looks a lot wider than this one
good thought, but i really wish I knew it's storyI don't know what it is but its beautiful! I'd keep it, fill it, smoke it! ...it's your dads pipe, you won't be able to buy it again....
It is definitely not a cheroot holder. Knowing my hippy dad, he spoked pot out of it. He did not smoke tobacco. It might be a cheroot holder. If it is, the only place I've ever seen a similar one is in the silent movie Flesh and the Devil, starring Greta Garbo and John Gilbert. One of the minor characters smokes one to great effect in several scenes. The cigar points almost straight up, which looked a bit odd.
Of course this may be it too.this was on pipedia:
"Fikri Baki is a young Turkish meerschaum pipe maker, who trained in Europe with a well-known artisan. He produces models inspired by contemporary Danish aesthetics, with handmade stems. For many years, Baki's pipes were distributed exclusively by Deniz Ural. As of 2019, he is distributed by the Chinese-based TuWun Meerschaum store which is sold through AliExpress."
