Hi all, digging through my late dads stuff , I found my grandfathers pipe. I know it’s his cuz he monogrammed the stem. Anyway it has a “L” on the left side of the stem. It says “Signature” on the left side of the stummel, and “Imported Briar” on the right side. Any idea what it is? The stem is real tight so I haven’t taken it apart yet to see if it has a stinger

this may help

especially worth noting
This brand of the Larus & Brother Co. proposed to customize their pipes by engraving the owner’s signature or initials on the stem in addition to the “L” logo.
And very good help it is indeed!
