I wonder if the brand is actually “Standing”—the “e” looks like a double-storey “a” to me.

For what it's worth if it is Standing, which I doubt but is indeed debatable, then it's not listed in WMTP.

My thinking is that the person who entered the info in WMTP misread the “a” as an “e” many years ago.

The Savinellis have the model name stamped in block letters and are marked as made in Italy not France.

I have also found the number 106 stamped on the other side of the shank.

My understanding is the pipe doesn’t have a “made in” stamp on it.
It appears Savinelli did make pipes under their name with a Standing stamp.

Savinelli Standing pipes featured flattened bottoms so that the pipe would sit upright. Here is a 320 KS:



The stamping is nothing like the script of the French pipe in question.
