Help dating Hardcastle pipe?

Hi everyone, I found this pipe in a friend's house, and was wandering about its dating, price, and any other interesting info about it.
It has a golden wheel on the top side, and the engraving reads: Argyle. Hardcastle. Made in London England.

Is the Hardcastle stamping straight or arched
The Argyle line is shown as a Dunhill period line on pipedia,they are still available to this day

Sorry, I can't tell much about the pipe, but I saw Chinese words ? . U learn Chinese? Or your friend is learning Chinese?
