Help Dating a Peterson

I just won an auction for a couple pipes and a rack, and one of which is this Peterson. I looked around and online found a few things that kind of match this, but nothing solid. I was hoping some of you Peterson aficionados could help me out. There is a Forked P, but it no country of manufacture.
P.S. Sorry if this is the wrong section, but I didn't see one where it fit better.

Actually I just looked again at http://www.pipephil.eu/logos/en/logo-peterson.html and there is some good info on this. Looks like it might be a pre-republic.

Have you asked Peterson? They are who I ask when I have a question regarding their products. Usually quick responses with correct information. Keep in mind that it is not possible, to my knowledge, put a date definite on a Pete. It is possible to tell that a pipe was made "before" or "after", based on the "marque" and the information stamped on the shank.

Here are a few tips on dating a Peterson:
Arrive on time, dressed nicely (but not TOO nicely). Be sure to bring a nice bouquet of tobacco, too. A good VA blend ought to do the trick. Petersons are easygoing, conventional gals who may not appreciate a lot of glitz and glam, so skip the aromatics, at least at first.
While on the date, be sure to give her your full attention, but don't expect her to dominate the conversation. If you lead, she'll happily follow.
When you drop her off, be sure to walk her to her door. If the evening has gone well, a quick kiss on the cheek may not be out of order.
