Help Dating a Comoy’s Grand Slam

Ok my first pre cadogan Comoy just arrived - it’s a Grand Slam sandblast army mount. I still don’t have so much experience dating those. There is no logo on the stem. Please help

No, at least Not right now... Maybe it had at some point

None whatsoever, i checked and the stem fits really well. I mean it could be a replacement but it doesn't look like one.

No marks on a Grand Slam mean replacement. Probably a good one though.

Looks like late 40’s early 50’s

Comoy's silver always has HC on it, so that is aftermarket, so it appears is the stem.

Grand Slam stems are drilled to accept a threaded stinger with leather washers. Those pipes are typically stamped with a number to ID the replacement leather washer. A lot of stinger of course are removed, but the tenon should have threads.

No threads in sight. Anyway I knew this one was iffy so I have a couple more old Comoy's and subs coming hopefully tomorrow, let's hope they are better than this one.
