And another for reference, and again, search out whatever suits your eye or your fancy, here's a little Chris Morgan Bones Bent Kiwi. $45.00 and it is a terrific smoking pipe - I try not to question why I would spend more (and definitely do, lol), but between the Kaywoodie above and this one, I probably don't really need any other pipes (ducking as lightning may strike me down).View attachment 192640
We seem to share the same taste in pipes. A while back I tried buying that pipe but it was out of stock. I didn't care for their other models just that one. Until today I forgot about it lol.

Hi FLDRD, I have
This model has quickly become my favorite, and I have 3, with another on the way...
2 of them are smooth grain like yours - which looks great BTW
They just seem to be perfect in every regard for me
-chamber dimensions
-angle of rim relative to my eyes
-perfect clenching angle & weight
-and for me the P Lip is genius in all regards
I may end up with a whole stable full of 314's if I'm not careful

Hey FLDRD. My auntie in Ireland sent me a Peterson Irish Seconds, it’s a terrific Pipe and I tried to find which one it was with no joy until you posted your pic here. Now I know what it is, a 314 rusticated. I love it and whole heartedly agree with your list of pros. Cheers mate.

I’ll admit I was worried cuz it wasn’t as beefy as a lot of their pipes, but I’m a believer now! It’s got everything I like about pipes wrapped up in a pretty little package. I’m holding off on buying pipes (famous last words) for a while so I can enjoy it & the few others I have. At least, that’s what I’m telling myself. More like my wife is getting concerned that I may have a problem.

I think all of our wives/partners have that in common! Here is my one that I use for Fox’s Campanile.image.jpg

Well this is kind of fun so I might see about getting some pics tonight in my smoking palace (garage) when I'm home so I can share.
I think I've suddenly become a Pete Geek.
I think I've 8 different ones, 3 new in box waiting for me to gift myself on some random occasion, and 2, no wait, 3! more on the way. 2 from ebay, 1 from SP
Wow.
I hadn't stopped to ponder that before.
Yeah, my wife and I keep separate accounts puffy
Did I mention I've got another page or two full of them I'm watching on fleabay?

There’s still hope. I got this 314 system for ~$80 ($68+tax & shipping) on eBay. Smokes great, nice & dry. I’ve seen them go way cheaper but I love the grain so I splurged. I second or third the comment on low res pics. No excuse unless you’ve got something to hide.
Was this an estate?
Also, great little set up you have there!

Yes it’s an estate. I was a little concerned about the stem, as it doesn’t have the “P” on it, but it fits sung & pulls smooth.
Thanks! I like my little Decatur set. In addition to the tray/holder it came with a 6 pipe rack & humidor. Another eBay find.

I got 2 for Christmas. My wife got me a 701 2022 Christmas edition, which is the perfect pipe for a quick smoke. I got myself the 314 cuz I’ve been good this year!
