Welcome from S.W Michigan Brad. What made you want to join this forum in addition to the ones you already belong to?

I'm from the Detroit area what part of Michigan are you from? I am a well known member of Badger And Blade which is mostly a Wet Shaving fourm but they do have a Pipe section as well. The reason for this fourm is just some variety to test the waters and check out a different crowd.

Thanks everyone look forward to learn and contribute. Pipe smoking is a dying art and a pastime of most of our forefathers, there is something nostalgic and soothing about the pipe that you just don't get from Cigarettes, which I'm still working on kicking and between the Pipe, Snuff and Dip shouldnt be as hard as it really is....those evil bastaeds put some crazy addictive chemicals in those things lol.

Hello from Chesterfield, UK.
I've got several clay pipes and like to smoke one when I visit 17th / 18th century re-enactments (Sealed Knot, Lace Wars etc), my favourite pipe tobacco is Gawith Hoggarth Cherry Vanilla but I find Condor Ready Rubbed more readily available where I live.
There's a sense of history from smoking clay pipes as well!
