Welcome From Connecticut. I envy you for the great experiences ahead of you trying to find your taste in tobaccos. I second the plum pudding suggestion above, and would add potlatch, from the same line. Both are fantastic blends that will give you something to think about.

Hey guys,

Im a dad with 2 toddlers, work full time for the man, and own my own business with 6 employees. So my life is pretty full and hectic. Pipe smoking has proven to be a great little way to get some me time outside on my deck when the day is done.

I just recently in the last 3 months took up pipe smoking. Started with some cobbs, got a few briar pipes by now. Randomly im buying tins of stuff that i like the artwork on or like the description of.

The first tabacco i found that i really enjoyed was Lane 1-Q. And for the longest ti.e i just couldnt find anything else the got close. I am not a huge fan of spicey or tounge bite and i think most of the time it happens due to my pulling too frequently and too hot, trying to work on slowing down but then i need to relight which injects more heat. I generally find the first 5 drags or so to be the most pleasent.

Then the other week i discovered Balkan Sasieni which is by and far the best blend ive ever smoked. I tried a few other with latakia and discovered i very much like latakia blends. So far balkan sasieni reigns supreme.

I came here in the look for syrian latakia as I really want to have that experience in my life especially considering i enjoy the cyprian stuff so far.

Any tips or tricks are welcome and thanks for having me!
