Is it possible that your pictures are showing only the stummel and it's missing a stem? The opposite end from the bowl looks quite wide. Can you provide a picture that shows that, end-on?

Pictures not the greatest. this is the way I've always seen it. The whole piece is about 4 in Long. And the end piece is a little more than a half an inch. Thank you for responding.

Yes I've gotten a slew of possibilities. I just know it was my grandfather's and my grandfather give it to my father my father gave it to me.
