Welcome from NYC. I have a similar history: started pipe smoking fifty years ago, stopped for awhile, resumed on the regular in the 90s.

Greetings folks,

I stated pipe smoking in the early 70's when my dad gave me his pipes, his friends would give me their old smokers as well as brand new pipes they just didn't like, (a lot of Dunhill, Castello and Savinelli and some Danish). Those men always had a pipe going, and they could smoke at work as well as everywhere else. That is how i also got into restoring pipes as well. Never tried carving, as i have zero talent for something like that

Smoked pipes into early 90's and then went to cigars and gave away a lot of pipes and accessories and such. Just about 2 years ago unpacked my pipes along with old tins and started up. Always loved smoking my pipes.

Glad this forum exists. A number of interesting reads and discussions.
