My daughter goes to Lowell! One of the best elementary schools in the area. We're currently living in Hilltop, although, it's probably much different than in former times...

I walked down Yakima to Lowell every day from kindergarten on. Either there were fewer creeps preying on kids in the sixties or my parents were unusually optimistic or indifferent. When you have five sons I guess you become a bit casual about what happens to a spare.

Hey from central North Carolina and welcome aboard. My folks were stationed in Tacoma during World War Ii when my mom rode the train with her recently firstborn across the country to join my dad for a brief time before he shipped out on a troop ship for the Philippines where he skippered a minesweeper as a Lt. jg. I've been to Seattle twice, but never to Tacoma.

I lived in Tacoma for many years before I chose to move to a friendlier state. My step daughter went to Stadium and I used to help organize the Unleashed at Stadium Bowl fundraiser every year.



One year I helped an EOD unit run it when they were a guy short. They did it in 100lb Bomb disposal suits and I had to take over at the half way point. It sucked. lol
