Hello from Switzerland!

Hi pipesmokers,
I have been following this site for some time but only today I decided to sign up.

I'm a pipe smoker since the early 2000s. I'm a 3th generation pipe smoker: my father used to smoke pipes, and so my grandfather.
My favorite tobaccos are english and virginia mixtures.
Classic pipe shapes in medium size are my favourites.
More a collector of tobaccos than pipes.

I live in Switzerland, beautiful country and also a good place to be for a pipe smoker.

I hope to have nice exchanges with people from all over the world.

Just kidding, by the way! I actually have a pipe identical to the one pictured as I wanted to explore the pipes of my Swiss ancestors. Unfortunately the bowl was a bit rusty and I haven't tried restoring it since I'm unsure of the materials from which it's made. Welcome to the forum and happy piping to you!

Welcome! We vacationed a lot in Switzerland when I was a young boy, Interlochen area. I' m not sure how/why my parents chose there, but we hiked a lot in the alps.
