Hope we can meet up for a bowl at The Briar Patch in downtown lax sometime soon. We’ve had a regular group of pipe guys gather there on Sunday’s lately.Hello fellow Wisconsinite! And what a beautiful part of our state. We often end up in La Crosse for one reason or another every other month
Sorry to bring you back to this old thread, but I was hoping to ask you about the pipe club in La Crosse, it would be a bit of a drive, but my wife and I love going to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe there, so I was thinking about making a visit to the shrine and then stop in for a smoke on a day that the club meets.Hope we can meet up for a bowl at The Briar Patch in downtown lax sometime soon. Welcome! What city?Hello everyone, I made an account a long time ago but then got distracted, so I'll make my introduction now. I've smoked a pipe off and on for a couple years now, and finally decided to make it my main form of indulging my nicotine habit. I had an uncle who always smoked Half and Half, and I love smoking it too. My preferences for pipe tobacco vary widely. I'll just as soon be in the mood to smoke an old OTC blend as I would pack a bowl of something more "refined". VaPers, Orientals, Aromatics, and everything in between I enjoy at different times. I'm in my late twenties, and seem to be part of the growing number of younger men, at least that I know of in my circle of friends, who have somewhat recently started to enjoy pipe smoking. I have three pipes currently in rotation, as an attempt to keep certain blends in a designated pipe, but none of them would probably be very impressive to you seasoned veterans here: a Missouri Meerschaum Country Gentleman, a Dr. Grabow Riviera (in honor of my late uncle), and last Christmas my lovely wife got me a Peterson Rusticated Derry (bent), which I love. Looking forward to getting to know you all and learning a lot!
I think that's the closest to me yet! Burlington.Janesville area
Hi! The shrine is beautiful nestled in the hills. I’m away for the winter so I don’t really know what’s been happening at the shop but I just texted a buddy and he reports there are usually a couple of pipe smokers who hang out on Sundays. No matter you’re always welcome to hang out for a pipe and or cigars!Sorry to bring you back to this old thread, but I was hoping to ask you about the pipe club in La Crosse, it would be a bit of a drive, but my wife and I love going to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe there, so I was thinking about making a visit to the shrine and then stop in for a smoke on a day that the club meets.
Next time we go up to visit the shrine I'll be sure to stop in, thanks!Hi! The shrine is beautiful nestled in the hills.
