I've been an on-and-off pipe smoker since my college days ('80s), and am taking it up yet again after about a 5 year hiatus. On most days I smoke cigars. Looking forward to learning more about blends from this forum and mixing things up a bit more this time around - my past forays have mostly involved just buying a blend randomly and, if I liked it, smoking it exclusively until it ran out. In recent years it's been Balkan Sasieni. I only have 3 pipes presently - a Kaywoodie prince, and two Savinelli billiards (both 128 bowls). Will probably acquire more and look forward to learning about different brands, shapes, etc...

Welcome from Carmel!

Please
put your location in your Profile!
Why: It will save time for others when you mention local stores, weather, tobacco prices, availability, regulations, location of photos, wildfires, air quality, etc.
How: Under your avatar, (top right, left most of three symbols) you choose "Account Details", which brings up "My Account". "My Location" is halfway down.

Welcome from the wet Pacific NW. Maybe try grabbing a few blends to try at once to keep the interest going. However you choose to do it...enjoy the trip. :)
Grabbed some GL Pease Maltese Falcon and some MacBaren Golden Extra from a local shop the other day - been enjoying both! Rehydrating some 5 year old Balkan Sasieni, as well as a tine of Three Nuns that I don't remember liking much (but may as well try again) - figure I'll smoke some of those some time next week after they've gotten a bit of moisture back in them.
