Howdy from Idaho. Welcome to the forum!
Flint knapping, now there’s a rare hobby. I had a friend teach me years ago when I was a scoutmaster. I practiced quite a bit for a couple of years and only made a few arrowheads that looked functional. Not an easy art to master. I still have all my tools and a big chunk of obsidian in my garage somewhere. I keep telling myself now that I’m retired, I should go dig out my tools and give it try again. Of course I’ll get at least one cut somewhere?
