Just moved to Newfoundland from the Yukon. The furthest west to the furthest east in Canada.

That's cool that you are in Newfoundland, and you are right that it's a giant shift!
Newfoundland has a cool and adventurous history - at a continential level- The Vikings came there in the 11th century and left a settlement at the northern end, and John Cabot and the English came to Newfoundland still in the medieval period.
