Hello and great to meet you all. I'm from the New York area and I've been enjoying pipes for about a year now. I feel the hobby has rewarded me with such a good deal of relaxation and joy in that time. I have about a dozen estate briars in my rotation that I continue to add to. I'm very fond of older Comoy's and Orlik pipes. I mainly smoke burley and sweet virginias but have been regularly cellaring a variety of tins new and old as my palate adapts. I first became acquainted with pipe smoking many years ago from my friend's father. He had a pipe rack in his car and we all thought it was pretty ridiculous. Now I drive around dropping my poor pipes in the cup holder and feel bad about mistreating them. I'm happy to finally get involved in the community and I know I'll learn a lot from you all.

Welcome aboard from central North Carolina. My wife lived in Greenwich Village and on Long Island for decades, and we spent a lot of time up there before she moved down here to marry me. She moved for love and butterbeans, she says.
