Hi All, I'm a new pipe smoker from Long Island. I occasionally smoked cigars the last 10 years but decided 6 months ago at 53 to try pipe smoking as a way to slow down and relax. Currently my pipe rotation includes a Savinelli Roma Rustic 614, a Dr Grabow Big pipe and a Eagle Talon small meerschaum pipe. Looking forward to learning tips and ideas on pipe smoking and different flavors.

Mr. Mas, welcome aboard from central North Carolina. My wife worked for many years at Newsday, for a long career and then as a contract columnist, most recently as a food writer, but with a long history on other beats. I spent a good deal of time on Long Island and in the NYC area with her before she moved here and we married. She lived in Ridge, near Brookhaven and Riverhead. We'd known each other since teenage, as students.
