Hello I’m glad to join this community of fellow pipe enthusiasts. My wife is also thrilled… I finally have somewhere else to ramble on about pipes instead of cornering her in the kitchen. I tried explaining to her the nuances of Virginia tobacco compare to a good English blend, and she replied, “Well, they both smell like a forest fire in a grandpa’s sweater.” So, here I am—looking for people who actually appreciate the smell of campfire and leather mixed with a hint of “what is that, old books?”

Anyway, I’m here to swap stories, advice, and maybe figure out why my lighter goes missing every time I bring up pipe smoking at home. Looking forward to chat with others who understand that “cellaring tobacco” is totally different than “hoarding,” no matter what my family says!

Welcome from Rhode Island.

Yes, there are those amongst us that appreciate the old leather and campfire aroma! I hope that you find yourself enjoying the group!

I really identify with what u said about giving your wife ear assaults about pipes. My poor wife had to endure the same from me, guess it was payback for all the ear beatings I got from her about reality shows, lol.

Welcome!!
