Welcome, and Please put your location in your Profile!
Why: It will save time for others when you mention local stores, weather, tobacco prices, availability, regulations, location of photos, wildfires, air quality, etc.
How: Under your avatar, (top right, left most of three symbols) you choose "Account Details", which brings up "My Account". "My Location" is halfway down.

Welcome! Why did the TAPS show die?
Not entirely sure to be honest. I think Covid along with maybe the age of some of the organizers may have played a big role in its demise. I’ve sent numerous info requests via the TAPS web page as well as via messenger over the last two years or so, with nary a response. It’s really a shame as it was a well attended event, at least from what I remember in the last few years before that fateful 2020… I miss seeing some of the wonderful vendors as well as all the friendly faces. The last year, 2019 was fun for sure hanging out at the smoking tables listening to Mark Ryan tell stories and history. At this point, I don’t see it ever returning, which is sad…

Do you remember any of the well known hobbyists from the pipe world who attended? I'm guessing one of them would be able to give an answer.

I’ve spoken with a several folks, including Brian Levine, and no one has been able to tell any information on the subject. Literally it was here one day and gone the next! I’ve spoken to a few vendors that were always present the last couple years, and they have no idea what happened either. I wish I knew, or at least could figure out what happened, the show ran for 22 consecutive years, and the 23rd was canceled because of Covid, and then silence….

That's a real bummer. Sounds like TAPS 2025 can only happen with a sponsorship by BigBuddha74. Make it happen, my man!
