Ps, Back then , mostly in France their cigarette manufacturing industry used to get raw tobacco from Maryland State,I wonder if they are still growing tobacco plants in Maryland

For better or worse, tobacco farming has pretty much vanished from the Delaware/Maryland/Virginia, (Delmarva) region. Philip Morris stopped offering contracts to farmers a while back for burley, and other varieties are much too labor intensive to turn a profit, apparently. Pity, the soil here is pretty good for it. But it's also good for vineyards, which is another passing hobby of mine.
