Like Al said, the New Orleans Pipe Club meets monthly on the fourth Thursday of the month. I live in Slidell and it's about a 40 minute drive depending on traffic.

We usually just sit around, smoke our pipes, share the different tobacco blends we bring to the meeting and talk. New pipe smokers are welcomed and we are happy to answer any questions you have.

I just moved here, and had to google Chalmette! We'll look forward to meeting you. There is always plenty of different blends that can be sampled.

Maybe being around some more experienced pipe smokers will finally cure my smoking too fast and hot. It’s so bad that I’m just used to the tongue burn and it’s only the gurgle that bothers me.
