New to the magazine and forum, been smoking a pipe off and on since my college days some 40+ years ago.
I have a mixture of freehand pipes and factory pipes. Seem to be partial to Danish designs in the freehands, but one of my oldest pipes is a Ben Wade freehand which I treasure.
I have several Savinellis, one of which was purchased as a gift from a friend while he and his wife were visiting a Savinelli shop in Italy some years ago. I also have an inexpensive pipe I purchased while in Israel many years ago, and another from Gatlinburg while on my honeymoon. Almost all of my pipes have a story behind them, as I suspect is true for many of us.
I like aromatics but also English blends. My favorite pipe quote is the one from Mark Twain about pipes giving a wise man time to think and a fool something to stick in his mouth. I've been in both categories at one time or another in life!
Cheers, and may all your bowls be smooth and relaxing!
