Hello from Ireland

Welcome to the Forums! One of my goals before I leave this veil of tears is to visit Ireland. What sold me on this idea was the opening of John Ford's classic 1952 film The Quiet Man starring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. The scenery was beautiful and simply breath-taking! I hope that this has not changed.
Just watched the movie Belfast, set in the 60's. A Branagh semi-auto biography; enjoyed it.
I realized how little I knew about Ireland, even though I was in London for a small taste of the Troubles, so I Wiki-ed it. My Lord, over a dozen pages, small type, with hundreds of links to additional information. On a full meal with a free afternoon, I may give it another shot.
