Hey from central North Carolina. I've enjoyed my time in Kentucky. My sister lived there for a few years, and a good college friend finished out his newspaper editing career there for about twenty years. My dad smoked nothing but Granger, rough cut Kentucky burley, from about age 15 to 65, including his years as a skipper of a minesweeper in the Philippines during WWII. Granger didn't do him any harm, and he departed at age 89 licensed to drive without glasses; I went with him to his last DVM eye exam.

Welcome ! My wife was born and raised in Olive Hill KY, we visit on the regular!
I have lots of family in that County. My mother is from the Grayson area , a little area known as Beetle. It’s basically all gone now and nothing but an abandoned post office

Yeah brother, never seen such a beautiful place with so few opportunities.
You work at Smithfield or McDonalds.

Welcome aboard, Sir! Are you a turkey-hunter? Nothing better than a leisurely pipe to help soothe the nerves after pursuing those wily birds.
Thank you. I do occasionally pursue turkey although I’m piss poor at it. Lol. I’m an avid squirrel and deer hunter.

Sorry, wasn’t asking if that’s where you worked. Was just saying that if you live in that area, you either work at Smithfield or fast food. Not much growth in that county. But like I said…..it is beautiful!

Welcome from the Northland. I just put 2&2 together and realized my first briar pipe was purchased in KY from a tobacco shop as an estate pipe (pre-internet) and it was a Stanwell Zebrano. Anyways, how long have you been smoking a pipe? I ask because the assumption can be if you are new here you are new to pipes but that isn’t always the case.
