Hi my name is Michael, I started smoking pipes about 3 years ago, when I got my first pipe from an end of year up for grabs at my college. I started smoking the next year and found it to be a wonderful companion to academic pursuits, reading or discussing great books with a pipe being one of my all time favorite pastimes. About a year ago I also started making my own pipes, but am still very much a beginner.
