I started smoking a pipe in the mid 1980s; about a decade ago I took a break, and I'm just finding my way back. Fond of VA-based flake tobacco as well as anything Burley, especially good old codgers. I have about six briars now (mostly estate) and three cobs. Pleased to meet you all!

Hi, Chi! I grew up in the near northwest suburb of Park Ridge, an easy walk to the Chicago neighborhood of Edison Park, from whence as a teenager I made many bus and EL rides to the city. Welcome aboard. This is a great place for information, knowhow, history, and more about pipes. I'm long since in central North Carolina, after I landed here in school, which evolved into marriage.
