Welcome to the forum, from Frazier Park, CA. Basically due east of you. SLO is a lovely place, although that big grade on the 101 southbound into town freaks me out a little... 😬

Enjoy the forum, and enjoy the journey!
Thank you.
I just drove right by you a couple of weeks ago on my way to Palmdale for Thanksgiving. I didn't stop, but I will next time as a local friend keeps telling me about a restaurant in your town called "red dot". I might have to check it out (before summer, ideally 🔥)

Ah, the 166 to the 138. Beautiful drive! And done at the right time of year, there's often a wildflower bloom.

Sorry to be a downer, but I'd avoid the Red Dot. The place has a cult-y Hare Krishna vibe, and the lady who runs it is super agro. The food is not bad, but it literally takes forever. No hyperbole here--I'm talking upwards of an hour, no joke. I get the impression that they're appealing to city people making the trek through the San Joaquin from SF to LA, and the prices seem to reflect that. I haven't been in there since before the covid nuttiness...I can only speculate as to what it's like there now. Consider yourself warned!

Last summer was the most mild fire season in years. We got at least one monsoon rain every month, which for southern CA is quite noteworthy. As long as the US Forest Service aka paid arsonists stop lighting prescribed burns, we should be fine (they really screwed New Mexico over earlier this year).

Alrighty, rant over! 😁

In my marriage and family therapy precise, I frequently see couples from diverse backgrounds who struggle to see each other's point of view and struggle to make important life decisions together. So I found this article techniques to improve Polyamorous relationships that goes in-depth about this issue and helps you to live happily. It hardly takes a minute to read.

Welcome from the other coast - up in Rhode Island. I love California, my father-in-law lives out there so I'm able to go somewhat regularly. Always perfect weather every time I go.

I've heard regulations out there for pretty much everything are pretty hardcore, which is a shame. But glad you're still enjoying the hobby where/when you can!

Yep. Very strict smoking laws here. However, we still have a B&M store nearby. They have a small indoor smoking area, but very rarely are there other pipe smokers there (mostly cigars).

Thank you!
