Welcome aboard from central North Carolina. You make me feel much better about my ninety some pipes, but I've been at this much longer than you. A number of mine, twenty or so, are gifts, that I wouldn't trade off, and I have culled three or four times, as donations, trade for store credit, or gifts. Your restored pipes that you don't smoke might be marketed here on Forums, once you have the time and posts to do that, and/or on eBay, or to save time, traded off to smokingpipes.com, though their offers are low.

Hi everyone... I'm new to the PipeMagazine forums. I've only been smoking a pipe for about 2-3 years now, but in that time, I've acquired a really unhealthy number of pipes. I have around ~150 at this point. It sounds like a lot, but most of those were purchased as lots of cheap pipes that I bought in order to restore. Problem is, once I restore them, I just end up keeping them instead of selling them like I probably should. Only around 30 are part of my "regular rotation" pipes, however.

Right now, I'm smoking a homemade blend I call "Black English" from my Savinelli Punto Oro Corallo 622ks. It's 25% Sutliff Stoved Virginia, 25% Sutliff Virginia Slices, 25% Stokkebye 310 Black Latakia, and 25% Blending Smyrna from Pipes and Cigars... then put the mix in a little press for at least a week.

I look forward to meeting you all. Thanks!
Welcome! Please post a picture of your collection when you get a chance. 150 pipes would be an impressive thing to see.

Welcome aboard from Mid-Michigan. The joy of this hobby is there are many right ways to engage with it and damn few wrong ones. The warning about TAD is real though. Most of us "suffer" from it interminably. If you haven't experienced it yet, you will! Oh, you will. ?

Welcome, from NE WI!

I used to live in eastern PA, about an hour west of Philly. I'd go up to the "Pipe Guild" that CI hosted monthly in Hamburg. Many more pipe smokers to hang out with in that area than in my current neck of the woods.

Glad you're here!
