Hi there I carried my old faithful WinchesterModel 70 in .458 Mag...I have my autobiography entitled " Soul Safari" on Amazon and that describes all my big game hunting days..Buffalo is my favourite hunt with all its thrills,spills and sudden frights...375 Mag is known in Africa as the one calibre you can anchor anything from Warthog to Elephant and is the calibre most Professional hunters recommend for Africa...Fired a 577 as well as a 600 Nitro and what a experience!

Wow! That’s so neat! I could sit around and smoke a pipe with you and listen to all your old safari stories for days, and be intrigued and excited the whole time! Haha I bet shooting those .577 and .600 nitro would feel like getting hit by a sledgehammer. I will definitely look for your book! Thank you for the neat insight on all that Gary!

that sounds sublimely awesome. Reminds me of one item on my bucket list. Which is to act in a movie playing a character that smokes a pipe. Yes I want to get on one of those compilations someday. Probably won't happen for a while though .
