Hello, IrishBriar71 here, I'm new to pipe smoking but intrigued by it since I was a child. There was a "Tinder Box" location right across from the "Gold Mine" arcade at the local mall that I would visit. The smells of pipe tobacco that would emanate from across the corridor to the arcade were too much for me to ignore. I'm fascinated with pipe craftsmanship, and am looking forward to being a part of this community.

Welcome aboard. Don't forget to check out the new radio show. It's on iTunes as a podcast and there's a link to it on the homepage. This is a great place to learn a lot about pipes and tobaccos. Have fun.

We must have been in the same mall! I always loved the smell of that place.
Welcome to the funny farm!

Its a chain, with franchise opportunities. We used to have one in both our malls. Now we just have one in a strip mall.
And welcome Irish!

They were competition for Don's Humidor. There are still a few Tinder Box stores. Only Don's I've seen recently is in Waco, TX.

Photoman we should buy one! Then we could sell cloves to the Goth girls.
That's what I remember most about them aside from the smells.
