Newbroom: Even if the price were the same, I'd buy Chatham Manor before I'd buy Carter Hall. I think it's better: richer flavor, no chemical note, and the flavor stays to the finish, which isn't always true of CH. The Prince Andrew and Prince Albert are pretty similar, but have a couple of differences, and as Andrew lacks the chemical note Albert occasional has, I'd buy that first, too. Andrew keep its flavor to the end better than Albert.
I thank you for your very kind compliments.

I can't wait to try these blends. I used to spend lots of time researching blends similiar to Carter Hall and Prince Albert. My 2 all day, every day blends.

The artwork on the tubs ... first I thought they were a spoof. Russ gently explained that they were only intended

to make it clear they were not the product being matched. The art work is sort of fun in a parallel universe sort

of way. I keep a tub of Granger and another of Half and Half as a sort of security blanket and occasional nostalgia

trip. The old OTC's are pretty good in their way; there's a reason some of them are still around.

The artwork on those new blends is aok with me, but i wish that there was a dog on there. I like Granger because there is a dog on the label. I never smoked Granger, I just like the dog. If Russ put a dog picture on each of those new blends, I'd buy them licketysplit. When someone says "That blend is a dog", my ears perk up. Something about dogs and pipes, they just go together.

I obtained some Chestnut and some Chatham to go with my Prince Andrew. Each is eminently smokeable. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of all these so far, and I love the look of the Chestnut, as well as its slight Latakia and other varietal contributions to the burley blend.

I also added some Peter Stokkebye 702, and some match ERR. I'm rolling in burleys.

One other recently added burley won't last long as it only arrived in a 1 1/2 oz. tin. That would be H&H CBK, which is just about as good as it gets for me so far, for burley tobacco.
