Hey All... I'm having a bit of a brain failure here. Last fall, I bought a Hearth/Home tin of tobacco. Well, I'd like to get some more of it and for the life of me can not remember the name. I went through all the present blends and nothing brings the name/blend to mind. My question is, are there any blends that have been discontinued since then? All I remember is it was a aromatic blend...maybe a bit of cherry? or vanilla?...I do know this is an off the wall question, but all I can think of is it has been dropped. Like i said, there is nothing that reminds me of my old blend. Thanks for your thoughts fellas.

Every shop I buy from keep's my order's on their computer. (thank Good for that) Many times I've had to call them to remember what I ordered a year ago. I forget the names because many sound a like and I end up ordering the wrong stuff.
I enjoy the Hearth and Home brand. They lowered the price to. Call'em up. That's what I do. Good people to talk to.

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news. Hearth & Home Landmark Series Old Kinderhook has been discontinued. I finished up my last bit back before Christmas. Went to order some more but it was "Out of Stock." Called Pipes & Cigars today and I was told it would no longer be available. Another great all day smoke has bit the dust.

PC has a sophisticated tobacco department and might be able to recommend some viable blends for you to try that have properties similar to Kinderhook. Just within their own shop they have Russ Ouellette -- I hope I have the spelling right -- working on new blends all the time. If you found something you like, that is similar, you might be able to jigger it, adding a little blending tobacco, to get even closer. On the other hand, with so many fabulous blends to try in this golden age of tobacco blending, you might find something you like just as well or even better. I don't chase unattainable blends, with such an embarrassment of riches in terms of variety of blends. And finally, you might find someone with a stash of Kinderhood they might want to sell, a long shot but possible.
