I have been on a burley blend kick for weeks now. Hoping to keep it going. Trying all of the burley forward blends. This thread has really turned into something good for me. A buddy nabbed me every burley blend from Gatlin-Burlier while he was there. Looks like I have more to add to my continuing psuedo-codger journey.

I'm glad to hear you say that, Jim. I've been really enjoying the Potlatch for a month or two now and I'm sitting on a 4 year old can of the Peretti 9575. Now, I have to add the Epiphany to my list. See... you ARE responsible for all the shortages! :nana:

I placed a P&C order today, and I added a few ounces of Sutliff Walnut match to the list to try. If I like the general "American English" profile (which I expect I will since most of what I smoke is burley blends and English), then I will order the Hearth & Home Chestnut tub next order, along with possibly other similar blends.

Thank you Jim. I believe I've seen a picture of Einstein with a tin of Revelation. I will add those to my "Tobaccos to Try" list.

I believe you recommended C&D burley blends on my "Carter Hall Fan" thread. I ordered a couple ounces of Pegasus today from P&C with my TAD / tobaccolypse / goodbye-Dunhill order today.

Hey, Lawdawg...
Per usual, I am late to the party, but, I will add a few items to you prospective list of American blends:
Drucquer & Sons - Inns of Court

Hearth & Home Marquee Series - Victorian Stroll

Boswell - Titus (If you want something really light)

Sutliff Match - Holiday Blend
If you don't mind a little bit of a lean towards the aromatic side, I would suggest:
E. Hoffman (Iwan Ries) - Distinguished Gentleman

Sutliff - Count Pulaski
I wish you much happiness on your journey of exploration! :puffpipe:
Cheers,
Chili

I just wanted to follow up since I ordered four ounces of Sutliff's Walnut Match with my last TAD order a few weeks ago. I've smoked about half of it, and I've really liked it ever since taking a match to a Walnut-filled bowl for the first time. It's exactly what I was hoping it would be - a fuller, smokier version of a classic American OTC blend. It burns just as easily as an OTC burley blend, and without bite. Walnut would never replace a full English blend, but it is good in its own right, and I intend to cellar a few pounds. It will be a perfect tobacco to take hunting and fishing in the Fall.
And thank you all for your additional recommendations. I will have to sample them by adding a little of each onto my TAD orders in the coming months (along with a tub of Hearth & Home Chestnut too).
