First of all, I just want to extend a very deep thank you to all of you for all the thoughts and prayers. It has really helped me through this. God bless all of you for all the supportive comments.
My grandfather had a successful surgery and just came back from the hospital a few days ago. He had his bladder, prostate and lymph nodes removed. The tests came back on his lymph nodes that the cancer had spread to them. Once he has healed up from his surgery, he is to have some radiation to hopefully be rid of any remaining cancer. I am glad to say that he is doing really well. He is healing up and is staying in good humor. So far, he is not overdoing it and that has been a big concern because it is hard to make a man like him understand that he needs to stay down and take it easy. We've all been adjusting to the situation, but with the Good Lord's grace, we are making it through.
Earlier, me, him and Granny were watching Restaurant Impossible, talking and laughing. I can't tell y'all how nice it is to see him happy and eating good again. The doctor says that if he continues to do good, then me and him will be able to go fishing in about eight weeks.
Thanks to everyone for listening and being supportive. It means a lot to belong to a group with so many kind and caring folks.
