Good evening my friends. I'm heading to Seattle for a couple of days next week and was hoping to visit a B&M or two. I'm particularly keen to find a place that stocks Seattle Pipe Club tobaccos, as these are hard to procure online at the moment. Any recommendations?

If you are there on Weds, please feel free to join us at Smokey Joes. The INVENTOR of these tobaccos will likely be there. Sadly, we lack good B&Ms. The only one that I would truly recommend is The Tinder Box in Tacoma. You may see a few Tobacco Path stores but unless you are looking for cigars, I wouldnt waste my time plus they definitely don't carry SPC toboccos. PM if you want more info on our Club meeting this Weds night.

Sadly, I have to be back in Portland for work on Weds., otherwise I'd love to join you folks. One of these days, though, I'll be sure to drop in to one of your meetings; sounds like fun.
I'll definitely make a point of stopping into Tinder Box, however. Thanks for the suggestion.

I know it is blasphemy, and please know that I support Tinderbox Tacoma when I can... BUT your prices at 82nd AVE Tobacco and Pipe are waaay better than any prices in WA. I go there when I visit my parents all the time. The tax rate in Oregon, while high, is nothing compared to up here.
It's odd since we seem to be in a tug of war to see which of our beautiful states can adopt socialism faster.
(not judging on whether it's bad, just stating the obvious)
Based on the tax rates I saw, you need to find a way to justify a trip to Idaho, where tobacco taxes are 1/6 as high as WA and so like 1/4 as high as OR.

Good to know wyfbane. I'm still very new to the whole pipe smoking world, so I'm not knowledgeable about taxes and legislation, etc. I'll still drop into Tinderbox, however, seeing as how its on the way. Fingers crossed they have some Mississippi River.
And yes, the Mary Jane/tobacco situation is ironic to say the least.
