Interesting article Kevin. Thanks for the heads up. I've never mixed blends before, but have adjusted blends to suit my taste with blending tobacco. I'll give mixing blends a shot sometime.

Thanks for sharing Kevin... I have two "blends" that I made from different aros... And are in my regular "go to" blends.. Some that I blended together just didn't make the cut...

I tired it once, and the results were so bad that I never did it again. Now after reading Greg's article, (and being better educated on tobaccos) I think I might try it again.

Interesting article Kevin. Thank you Mr. Pease.

My Dad always said: "Anything worth screwing up once, is worth royally screwing up a second time." :D

I might just give it a shot again as well.

Mixing blends can be alot of fun ! For me in the past I would take some open and

old tins and bags of tobacco that I had neglected to smoke and make several blends

out of them . I had the privlige of working many years ago in a tobacco shop , so

understanding each tobacco and the blending of it was always a learning experience.

Blending is alot of fun ! I have two blends that I have mixed, the one is called Saint

Andrews Cross/ English blend the other Kobenhavn/ aromatic blend. Both tobacco's are in

glass jars and have been married for two years . I enjoy both of them and only smoke each

blend on the holidays. Happy Mortal! He who knows pleasure which a pipe bastows.

I have never tried mixing blends. I bought some Latakia and Turkish leaf to see what they taste like by themselves. I think I will try mixing them with some OTC blends, like Carter Hall, to see what happens.

I've mixed CAO Bella Vanilla with Amphora "Full Aroma" (red pouch) and was pleased by the result. They have a similar cut so that may be a factor.

I threw together leftover NightCap with some leftover C&D Dark Cherry Cav. It was a nice smoke.
Thanks for the heads up on the article Kevin, off to read it now..............

So, um, why aren't you guys posting these excellent comments on the ARTICLE, for everyone to enjoy, instead of on the meta-article, for only a few?

I have about 8oz of coconut tobacco and I mix it with penzance, ten to midnight or Plum pudding and it taste wonderful!!!
Sometimes I want something stronger in my aromatic but less than a english, so i'll grab a bit of both, mix them up and smoke it..Nothing new, been doing it for some time now...
I rarely mix 2 aro's or 2 english (since thats all I smoke) it's always aro + english
I have some Stanwell Vanilla that I've mixed with some ten to midnight and man, the smoky, sweet taste I get is really good...I'ts a very nice change up from either the straight aro or english!

Greg, another great read, thanks. The only time I ever mixed anything was when I took left overs of SG Best Brown,FVF and St James flakes and smoked them together. It was actually quite good and I am sure I will do it again.

I had some Dunhill 965 and mixed it with IRC Blue , the blue was not my favorite, but with the 965, quite enjoyable, and my favorite Northwoods 2/3 with 1/3 Carter Hall, call it Carter Woods. The old Cajun

I have been regularly mixing Dunhill's Morning Pipe with various aros - 50/50. The Dunhill is mild enough that it works in most cases (at least for me).
