Well yes...and no.

They are classic blends: unique, and very popular. Blends like 965, Early Morning Pipe and Nightcap each have their own cult-like following. Their devotees will do a better job of prosthelytizing the merits of these particular blends than I could. Light Flake is a nice VA flake. Deluxe Navy Rolls is very similar to Escudo.

I don't really smoke much of them because I find Samuel Gawith and JF Germains to be superior quality tobaccos, but nothing replaces the Dunhill (now Peterson) range.

I only have one in quantity in my cellar - Aperitif - and that one has not been brought back by Peterson. I thought that one was stellar. All the rest I find a bit so-so.

Sure, give them a try. The Peterson versions of the Dunhill pipe tobacco brands are essentially the same, made by he same company with the same sources more or less. It's a lively menu of distinctly different blends that have succeeded with millions over the years. Will every (or most) blends immediately transport you to pipe tobacco bliss? Of course not, but if you know a little about your tastes you will probably find several that satisfy a personal yin. I preferred their overall menu to various other brands, maybe until Cornell & Diehl which caters to burley base and burley condiment fans. I still have some of the Dunhill branded tins and look forward to smoking them by and by.

Dark Flake is by far my favorite,
Flake is good too.
And agree that Aperitif was one of their best English blends yet was not a big seller. I’m also a fan of Durbar. Their best sellers are just middle of the road for me. I just don’t understand the love for Nightcap, in my opinion there are much better blends in this same category out there, one I always recommend is C&D’s Engine 99.

Some of them I really enjoy - Flake, Standard - as well as three that have not returned to these shores - Dark Flake, Ye Olde Signe, MM 1938. I can do without a lot of the others, but to each his own. They are classic blends, well worth trying.

Never tried Engine 99, but I did crack a tin of 1-year old Nightcap, bought last December. I hadn't smoked Nightcap for a year, and before last December for at least 2 years - before that I smoked just Nightcap for years.

Well it blew my mind, from the first puff, it's like seeing an old friend, everything's there, the taste is instantly recognisable and distinct. It has body, it has a subtle sweetness I haven't found elsewhere. Even opening the tin and loading up a pipe, no fuss, burns down to the proverbial fine gray ash with no relights.

What can I say, maybe first loves are forever, it was my first proper pipe tobacco, first taste of Latakia...just love it.

On topic: Deluxe Navy Rolls are great too.

True, it just never did it for me... at all. I’ve kept going back to revisit it over the years and it’s just bland to my palate. But, it certainly has its fan base.

Yes, you are. You missed Dunhill Dunhill, Murray's Dunhill, and STG Dunhill that's no longer sold under the Peterson label. Sorry.
I regret missing out on Murray’s Royal Yacht. :( The STG version... meh. It’s not terrible but I do not get why it’s such a polarizing blend, it’s a lightly topped VA, nothing polarizing about it but yet it is.?‍♂️

Well, you may not have liked it. Steve Books said the topping was banana. I don't know how true that was. Whatever it was, it had lots of nic! I've not had the STG version.

Banana huh? Steve Books had a lot of weird random facts where I could never tell if he was being serious or just bullshitting me, haha. If it was a banana topping that would make more since as to why it was a polarizing blend. The STG version tastes like a faux VaPer to me.

Nothing compares to Royal Yacht..

Is this DeathMetal reborn? ?

You can put your location in your Profile—(please!—because people will forget!) That will save questions in the future as to where you live when you later mention local stores, weather, tobacco prices, availability, regulations, location of photos, wildfires, air quality, etc., etc..
Under your avatar, (top right, left most of three symbols) you choose "Account Details", which brings up "My Account". "My Location" is halfway down. Whatever you're comfortable with- town, city, county, state. Just country if you must.

Am I really missing anything.
Deluxe Navy Rolls are better than Escudo by a cooter hair, so worth trying if you like VaPer.
Flake is utterly brilliant with age for a straight Virginia.
My Mix 965 is another showstopper for me as an evening, post-dinner puff.
