Have an Old Antique Pipe, and Some Questions

Today i was on a antique marked, and i bought this pipe.
My questions is simple, do you know anything about it? How much is it worth? What kind of condition would you say it is in?
I was told it was made of silver, and bone.
Here is some pictures of it.(Sorry for the huge pictures).

The image is a bit blury, but it says "11/4-1903"

Most likely German. Looks like the shank is antler and there seems to be a hallmark on the metal, which I guess indicates silver. I'm also guessing that the ring on it os for some kind of lanyard. Maybe the owner used it while hunting? More guesses than info but a fun piece nonetheless.

That is Beautiful! I would say that it is in very good condition. The flexible part of the stem is something that I have found broken to often. It looks fine. If the bowl is meerschaum, it looks heavily colored. Show us the inside of the bowl. It may be made of clay. As far as value, who knows. I suspect above $200 but it is what someone will pay on a given day.

Thank you loneredtree! The flexible part works great, and it aint damaged in any way.

If you suspect above 200$, that would be great! I paid about 65$ for it.
Here is some pictures of inside the bowl. It is very dirty, so it was the best i could do at this very moment.

Thats what I would call a lap pipe. 1903 would be about right for the date. The bowl is meerschaum. The mouthpiece is either bone or horn, hard to tell in the condition its in. I would guess horn. The main part of the stem is wood, probably cherry, that bark has been given some kind of treatment/finish to make it look different than plain cherry bark. The connector between the wood and the flexible section is definitely horn. The silver ring would have originally had a string that connected to the stem and probably a couple of beads and a little tassle.

If you search the marks on the silver, you might find some info on the manufacturer. Then again, you may only find info about the silversmith who crafted the metal. It looks like "JC" on the shank but I dont know the first thing about what that would stand for.

My guess is the pipe is turn of the century Austrian.

Value is how much someone is willing to pay. $65 is a very good price for a (nearly) complete pipe in pretty good shape. $200 maybe on a really good day with several bidders that have to own it. I'd guess its actual value +/- $100.
