Most Cubans we find in the US have been through Mexico or Dominican Republic who are notorious for switching the labels on cigars. So when you think you got a Cuban you really just got a cheap cigar. I know a place in the Dominican Republic that sells good Cubans and not just Cohibas and they are top notch. The way to get Cubans legally is find a Cuban that is going to Cuba and have him bring you back a box. I think this is easier to do in Florida though. Cubans with dual citizen ship are allowed to bring back I believe 2 boxes for personal use.

With any cigar brand you get good , great and wow . The best smokes I have had are Trinidad Cuban , Padron 1964 , Rocky Patel 1992 and a lowly Cusano CC . Much like a pipe the euphoric smoke is often elusive and seldom repeated . The worst cigar I ever had was a Montecristo White go fiqure . And it was the only bad one in the box .

Your not alone igloo on the Montecristo White. The first one I ever tried ended up being trash. It really hurts when you spend the cash on a cigar like that and you end up displeased.

in warm weather cigar wise...I always shoot for an oliveros or a puros indios viejo. Not the highest rated puppies or a cuban, but I don't have to worry about holes in my wallet or gloves going where they shouldn't.
