I remember the first time I opened a tin of Rattray's Old Gowrie. It smelled something like sour milk to me and it took me a little by surprise and when I smoked it I did not care for it at all. However, It did not take me long to appreciate it and I have loved it ever since.
Samual Gawith's Cabbie's Mixture was another I did not get on with at first but it's good stuff.
Actually, there are too many to list which offended me in the beginning but in the end, it turned out to be love. I'm all for tobacco polygamy. It's also true to say that there are more than a few that I started out loving but in the end, found contemptible.

This is completely unfamiliar to me. There are blends I used to love, and can't stand them anymore, but I have yet to find a blend I didn't like become likeable. This is surely my own fault as I don't think I've ever re-tried a blend I didn't like from the start. Maybe I should give Royal Yuck a second. Hance!
